Prepress Manager

We are looking for a Prepress Manager who will help shape our prepress activities across the group.

Your role

As Prepress Manager, you take on the strategic, operational, and administrative leadership of the prepress department, both locally and internationally.

You make sure everything runs as it should — from processes to output.

Your responsibilities

• Operational & technical
  • Managing and optimising the entire pre-press workflow (from artwork to plate proofs)
  • Coordinating:
    • Artwork creation and print-ready layout
    • Plate proofs / printing plate preparation
  • Ensuring quality, consistency and efficiency across all pre-press processes
  • Optimising workflows for various printing techniques (flexo, digital, multilayer, booklet labels)
• International & strategic
  • Strategically managing prepress teams across various international sites
  • Implementing standardised processes and workflows across all sites
  • Acting as a central point of contact between production, IT and local prepress teams
  • Identifying and implementing best practices and innovations
• Automation & innovation
  • Initiating and rolling out automation projects within prepress
  • Optimising software, workflows and integrations (MIS/ERP, workflow tools, RIPs, etc.)
  • Continuously improving efficiency, turnaround times and error reduction

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in graphic technology, printing technology or equivalent through experience
• At least several years’ experience in a managerial role within a pre-press or printing environment
• In-depth knowledge of:
  • Pre-press workflows
  • Various printing techniques (flexo, digital, etc.)
  • Artwork and print preparation
• Strong affinity with automation and digitalisation
• Experience working with international teams is a strong plus
• Analytical, process-oriented and results-driven
• Strong communication and people management skills
• Fluent in English (other languages are a plus)
